CIVIL WAR ERA
The prices are for basic labor (That does include the self small pipping in the sleeves, waist, and neckline, and the topstitching down the back, and the hand sewing of the neckline pipping) only and will vary depending on how elaborate the decoration. You choose your own fabrics! (Or agree to my choices) Each bone added will be $.75. The price DOES NOT include closures or heming (As those would need to be hand sewn) All skirts can be made with 135" or 180" circumference at the hem. (I recommend a hem facing for durability and cleanliness) I will hand gauge your skirt for extra $20. Otherwise the skirt will be machine sewn. Any other hand sewing I charge $20 an hour. :-)

The dress was copied from 1860 Peterson engraving. The large print strips were very popular at that time. I believe the print was called a roller print in some eras. I have seen a few originals sold on ebay similar in material. The belt adds just the right amount of color to make this dress stand out.The armeye and neckline are pipped with self fabric pipping. The bodice and sleeves are lined. The coat sleeves would look best with undersleeves. (sold separately) The skirt is stroke gathered to the bodice to make one piece dress.

A reproduction print looking Sacque Dress and apron. A sacque or sack was a loose fitting garment that was worn during the 1860's for undress or worn in private. A great dress to junp into in the mornings to do your camp chores. Throw on the snappy apron over the madder or roller print sacque dress. This style of dress was also used for mothers to be, nursing mothers, or sometimes those who were invalids. Despite the fact this dress was used only for around home it was still delightfully trimmed with braids and trims. The skirt closes with a drawstring. The sacque closes with hooks and eyes. The dress was inspired by a GODEY 1858 pattern. The sacque bodice, sports modified Pagoda sleeves and is entirely unlined for cool summer comfort. The pinner apron attaches with 2 stick pins.
