| I use to hate these things until I started wearing them. They are nifty!
Beats using modern things hands down. Split drawers are a must if you wear any kind
of a corset. Front or back closures..... Your choice. This price includes the materials.
(cotton muslin) Wooden button or hook and eye closures. CW14 Price: $25.00 |
| Making a corset requires two things. Patience and strong laces!
This corset was my attempt to make one without a busk. (You can choose to use a busk if
you want that instead) I used heavy wieght hooks and eyes instead. (yes, that is
accurate. Some of the poorer people in the country used hooks and eyes rather than busks)
And it worked great. I made mine from unbleached cotton drill with muslin "bias
tape" around the edges. This corset will cover from 1840-1880. CW13 Price: $75.00 |
| This is a basic petticoat. One would need two to be considered dressed
correctly. Can be drawstring, hook and eyes, or button closures.
CWU1 Price $30 |
| A basic yoke chemise with lots of potential to be a heirloom piece. The
sleeces are short and straight and will fit perfectly under your ball gown. Add your own
embroidery... YUMMY! 3 wooden buttons close the top. :-) CWU2 Price $45 |
| Want to wear civil war clothing with out a hoop? Well here is the
solution. A corded petticoat. The many rows of cording (And a good starch!) help the skirt
stand out without the metal hoops like a hoop skirt. Very pupular for a work style
inpression or for those of us very active with small children! CWU3 Price: $50 |
Coming Soon..... Ruffled petticoat.
