(last update April 15, 2003)

The prices are for basic labor only and will vary depending on how elaborate the decoration. You choose your own fabrics! (Or agree to my choices) You choose the boning you want added.

My first is the typical chemise from the period. Basically a rectangle with a hole for the head!  You take several measurements to make this simple garment. The chemise would have been made from linen. It would be worn under your corset

The corset though it looks simple was not. It was either half boned... Or entirely boned. (only enough room to sew the "pocket" for the boning. The eyelets would have been worked. I cheated on this one and did grommets. (hand made grommets add $40 to your price) This example was taken from a French magazine from 1770 and was half boned. The idea of this era was to push everything flat... And it does! I choose to lace this corset in the front and the back so I would not have to use a busk.

COL:2

Price: $80 without busk

Price: $110 with busk
